“I want my, I want my, I want my MTV.” With these words, the fabulous British rock band, Dire Straits, inaugurated broadcast of MTV Europe on August 1, 1987. Other famous first words might include, “Come here, Mr. Watson.” the first telephone message, “What Hath God Wrought?” the first telegraph message and Neil Armstrong’s famous, “One small step for (a) man . . .” spoken from the surface of the Moon.
